Quick Verdict
ExpressVPN is a paid VPN service with a long list of server locations. This review uses ExpressVPN’s own published pages, not hands-on tests, so it makes no claim about its speed. It has a user-friendly interface and robust features, with a focus on user privacy.
Pricing in India
This competitive pricing makes it an attractive option for Indian users looking for quality VPN services. Payment methods differ by region, so check ExpressVPN’s checkout page before you pay. 🔒 Our #1 VPN Recommendation
NordVPN — our pick for India, based on published features (we ran no tests of our own). See current prices on NordVPN’s site. See NordVPN plans and price →Ad This means you can experience lower gaming ping, which matters for titles like BGMI and PUBG. While ExpressVPN focuses on speed and online security, consider complementing your online activities with additional privacy tools. For instance, NordVPN offers robust security featuresAd that can further enhance your protection while working remotely or browsing the web, ensuring that your online presence remains safe from prying eyes. If you’re a freelancer in India, managing your payments can be streamlined with a service like Wise for international transfers. With competitive exchange rates and low fees, you can effectively receive payments from clients abroad while using ExpressVPN to keep your financial data secure.
Streaming and ExpressVPN
We did not test ExpressVPN with streaming services, so we do not claim that it works with any of them. Streaming services license their catalogues country by country, block many VPN servers and set their own terms of use about VPNs: hotstar.com shows a block message when it detects a VPN or proxy, and Sony LIV’s terms of use (section 4.4) do not allow hiding your location. Using a VPN to reach another country’s catalogue can break those terms, so we do not recommend it.
Security & Privacy Features
Security is a top priority for ExpressVPN, making it a prudent choice for users concerned about online privacy. Key features include:
- No-logs policy: ExpressVPN does not store any user activity logs, ensuring complete anonymity.
- Lightway protocol: ExpressVPN’s own VPN protocol.
- TrustedServer technology: All servers run on volatile memory (RAM) only, which means user data is wiped with every reboot. ExpressVPN is based in the British Virgin Islands, a jurisdiction known for strong privacy laws, further enhancing the service’s commitment to user confidentiality.

Server Network
ExpressVPN lists 214 server locations in 113 countries (ExpressVPN, checked 31 October 2026). It has no physical servers in India: ExpressVPN said in June 2022 that it would move forward without physical servers in India, and its Indian locations are virtual, “India (via UK)” and “India (via Singapore)” (ExpressVPN blog and support pages, checked 31 October 2026). Your speed depends on your connection and the server you pick, so test a few locations.
