🔒 Our #1 VPN Recommendation
NordVPN — our pick for India, based on published features (we ran no tests of our own). See current prices on NordVPN’s site. See NordVPN plans and price →Ad NordVPN shut down its physical servers in India in 2022 and offers one virtual location with an Indian IP address (NordVPN support, checked 31 October 2026). If you want a second option, you can compare ProtonVPN with a service like NordVPNAd, which also focuses on online security. This way, you can choose the one that fits your needs and budget. Streaming and ProtonVPN
We did not test ProtonVPN with streaming services, so we do not claim that it works with any of them. Streaming services license their catalogues country by country, block many VPN servers and set their own terms of use about VPNs, so using a VPN to reach another country’s catalogue can break those terms and we do not recommend it.
Security & Privacy Features
ProtonVPN is renowned for its emphasis on security and privacy. With an open-source code, it allows users to verify its security protocols, ensuring transparency in operations. The VPN employs advanced features such as Secure Core and NetShield, which enhance user security by routing traffic through multiple servers and blocking ads and trackers respectively. ProtonVPN adheres to a strict no-logs policy, which means Proton says it does not keep logs of your online activity. Based in Switzerland, ProtonVPN benefits from strong privacy laws, adding an extra layer of protection for its users.
